I am very new to IT, only 1 year experience. I would like to build a website for users to interactive with back-end database(s). It would need the database to provide some kind of report based on user’s parameter inputting. In addition, users’ inputs including IP address will need to be restored in database. The website would also need to charge users through credit card transaction.
The data volume will be quick large. I will have to use Oracle, not only for the data volume, but also for my own limitation. I know PL/SQL petty well, at beginner’s level. I hold Oracle Certified Associate certification for PL/SQL. I also have beginner’s knowledge of Java (J2SE), for which I got it from university’s assignments.
I would like to know what kind of technology I should use to link the database to website.
Whole project is for fan and for my own learning purpose. However, if it can attract users, it would be a real new venture. Currently I am building the database by design tables, relations and writing packages. And it seems ok in terms of progress.
