That’s problem with life, it’s nothing like movies.

Love and Other Disasters>

Jacks: Stop living your life like you’re in some kind of movie. Stop trying to cast your true love instead of just meeting him.

Peter: When I meet him, I’ll know.

Jacks: I am not so sure. Love isn’t always a lightening bolt, you know? Maybe sometime it’s just a choice.

Peter: Well, that’s easy for you to say! You’re flying to Argentina to meet the love of your life!

Jacks: That’s just it. I don’t know that Paolo’s the love of my life, but I’ve decided to give him the chance to be. Maybe true love is a decision. You know, a decision to take a chance with somebody, to give to somebody without worrying whether they’ll give anything back. Or if they’re gonna hurt you or if they really are the one. Maybe love isn’t something that happens to you. Maybe it’s something you have to choose.(爱可能只是一种选择和决定,这段对话看完后又回头看了一遍,然后写下了这些文字)

Peter: I need to tell you two things. First I’m really sorry I was so self-absorbed when I first met you at brunch.

David: You don’t have to apologize to me.

Peter: Oh, no, I’m not apologizing to you. I am sorry for my own sake. You see, I was so caught up in my own head. I missed out on getting to know you. And I would like to get to know you. I mean if you’d be willing to give me another chance? Maybe let me take you out for dinner?

David: Oh, I don’t know. See I’ve had this fantasy in my head about having dinner with you. What if you don’t live up to it?

Peter: Oh Well, then I’d just have to keep taking you out until I get it right.(Peter回答得太精彩了,虽是gay,但通用于蓝滴追绿滴,同学们好好学习吧)
