One of manager only have one email address that is other domain, not primary domain. The problem is we only want one mailbox in Exchange, one domain for all users due to buget. And we want to avoid that manager send out email by using our primary domain, that can not been solved by Exchange. Another issue can not been solved by Exchange, for example, One user have 4 email address, let's say user@a.com, user@b.com, user@c.com, user@d.com, @a.com is our primary domain, when someone send email to user@b.com that POP3 account setup in Outlook, when he reply this email to sender, he has to select user@b.com mannuly because default email account is user@a.com setup by Exchange account in Outlook, which we don't want, we want to user to reply with current email account automatically without manmuly selection. Think about display name, how user know which email address the sender send to without open header? Actually, the key for those problem is create domain, IMain server have function to creat Virtual Domain for free, but not Exchange.     I am setting up Exchange 2003 server and did some test in Outlook. One user have 3 different email accounts, he is one of users in AD, have one mailbox in Exchange server. I enabled Default POP3 Virtual Server, setup 3 email account with POP3, no Exchange Server account. When I sent test email by using my email account to one of email address of this user, this user got the same email three times. Is anybody know what's wrong? How to solve this problem? Thank you very much!

      2。这三个地址是其他地址，还是和公司domian一致的？

            The email addresses users had are not public or free email address, like gmail.com or 163.com, all of them belong to our company. I need to configure MX record in my DNS server. You need to add the email account domain name in Reciption Policy in Exchange, and add those email accounts to user email address in AD as well.

          not sure what your situation is, your description is too vague

          so let's say this guy has an email address annoysome@yourCompany.com, then he has two other email address such as user@gmail.com, and user@163.com?

          if this is the case you don't have to put gmail.com and 163.com into his AD account, that will just do nothing. You dont have to setup pop3 virtual server either, that is useless in this situation either. It's only something you need to config in Outlook profile so it points to gmail and 163's pop3 server respectively.

            I tried IMail server that fit our requirement for user such as share canlendar, multi-domain email address without create other domains, anto reply by using the email address that people sent to, some user can not send out email by using his domain email address. Thanks 伟大的豪哥的哥 anyway.

              but exchange is definitely better than imail. your initial desciption wasn't clear. Exchange handles multiple smtp domain very well, what you need is to add new MX records, and add new address into existing recepient policy( or to create a new receipient policy with approprieate filter), which you figureed out already. Once the receipient policy is there, you don't have to/shouldn't manually add email address in AD, RUS will stamp the mail addresses.

                • for different people getting differnt set of email addresses, you just need to use different filter, which may be difficult to compose at times. -yr2much(伟大的豪哥的哥); 2007-3-14 {262} (#3552002@0)
                  as for got same email 3 times, that is because you've set up both MAPI and pop3 connection for same mailbox. you shouldn't have had to set up pop3, which I mentioned already.
                  as for the reply address, yes you are right, exchange will use primary address only.

      如果你不通过exchange server直接在outlook上面设置pop账号，然后把email 德delivary文件设到exchange server,你的用户的outlook 需要设置3个邮箱加一个exchange mailbox.
