VoIP enthusiast training

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛We are a small group of ambitious people having strong interests in open source VoIP technologies. Our goal is to make products and get into the market quickly. However, since we all have full time jobs, the R&D progress is lagging. So, I came up with this training idea to attract more people to join this telecom revolution. Of course, the training is not free but we definitely won't charge you a fortune. What I am thinking is the training fee we collected can be used to purchase training&project equipment. At the same time, we are looking for talents to join our team. The following is the course outline. If you are interested, please PM me and I will contact you very soon.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 VoIP introduction
- Packet vs TDM voice network
- SIP, RTP/RTCP, NAT, IAX
- Codec basics

2 Asterisk open source PBX

- Advanced Asterisk feature, IVR, voicemail, ACD, etc.

3 Advanced codecs in Asterisk

    • 实在搞不懂, 你开发这东西有什么用?如果你能get into the market, 先拿一套CISCO的, 去把它卖掉
      • Thank you for the insights, Playtiger.
However, we are probably still stick to our goals for quite a while. Speaking of Cisco, we are basically aganist them and I believe most of the small businesses in Canada can't easily afford a Cisco. Again, thanks for the suggestions
    • HP在做CISCO的代理, 卖CISCO的VOIP, 项目做的还可以呀....
    • HAI,哥们支持你们。有魄力,希望你们能成功。有饭店就不许自家开伙了?
