本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I got a Digital PC server few days ago with Windows NT4 originally installed. Because there are too many other misellanious software utilities come with it, I erase the NT and wanted to installed the Windows 2000 on it yestday. Now the situation is it won't even boot. Every time when the server is restarted, it tells "No SCSI boot device found." The host adapter is AHA3940, it can recognize the CDROM/ and tape drive on Channel B, but no device on can be detected on Channel A, which do have 7 drives attached. Among those 7 drives, 6 of them are configured as RAID5 and the other 1 as RAID7(factory default, unconfigurable). One other thing that is strange to me is that these drives are visible to DAC960 array controller.
Windows 2000/NT set went through w/o any problem, but after installation the server won't boot. when I run FDSK command, it shows "no fixed disk". thus no driver can be installed.
I personally think the most likely reason is the might be the device driver for AHA3940 is not installed. But now the problem is why the Channel B is working?
Does anybody has a clue for trouble-shooting? Appreciated.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
