最近校园暴力事件层出不穷,如果不控制住,谁还敢把小孩送到学校里去啊?

As many as 50 youths were there when six students at Scarborough's Francis Libermann Catholic Secondary School were attacked yesterday afternoon in a forested area behind the Finch Ave. E. campus.

It is not known what sparked the attack or how many students were involved, but the larger group were not students at Libermann, said principal Tracey Parish.

The Libermann students — all boys — were returning to school after having lunch at a nearby Caribbean restaurant when they were attacked, a spokesperson for the Toronto Catholic District School Board said.

Three of the students sustained minor injuries in the brawl and were taken to Scarborough Grace Hospital as a precaution, Parish said.

Students coming out of classes just before 3 p.m. yesterday were kept away from the forested area, where police were investigating with the aid of dogs and a helicopter.

Counsellors will talk with students tomorrow and the school is expected to send a note explaining the situation to parents, the spokesperson said.

      BOB MITCHELL
      STAFF REPORTER

Four teenagers have been charged in connection with a violent swarming attack in Brampton and police are seeking several others.

Two of the victims sustained multiple stab wounds, while the third was beaten unconscious, likely with a pipe, police say, in the Wednesday afternoon attack on Juniper Cres. near Chinguacousy Secondary School.

A group of 10 to 15 people attacked a group of four people, said Peel Detective Stephen Rowe. The two groups had agreed to meet to settle a dispute, he said.

"It appears the smaller group didn't expect such large numbers in the other group," Rowe said.

"But something happened to escalate it. But so far we haven't determined what it was all about."

Four of the alleged attackers were arrested late Wednesday. Police believe some of those involved likely attend the nearby high school, but the incident wasn't school-related, they say.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether the teens belong to any gangs.

A fourth person in the victims' group managed to escape without being injured, police said. The injured, two in their teens and one in his 20s, remain at Brampton Memorial Hospital in serious condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Some of the attackers showed up wearing dark hats and clothing and had scarves covering their faces, police say.

"Both groups knew each other, so we're not sure why some didn't want the others to know who they were," Rowe said.

Four boyshave been charged with numerous offences ranging from aggravated assault to assault with a weapon. They cannot be identified under federal law.

Anyone with information is asked to call Peel police at 905-453-2121, ext. 2133.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

      • 因此转学(如果父母有办法),辍学的还是有。转学的多些。
