Help!!! Data recovery

Please help me!
I moved a big folder contains 1.3 GB file to another folder on the same physical disk in WinXP, then I tried to set the destination folder to hidden attribution. It asked me if apply to subfolder and files, i clicked yes. Then, after tens seconds, the system was frozen, then I cancelled the set files type process, then I found the moved folder was gone from both source and destination. I had a Norton system works 2003 installed, then I tried to use unerase utility to recover, I saw those files I moved, but when I tried to recover them, it told me the disk is full or sth. Then I moved other folders to another disk to save the room. After I moved other folders, I ran Norton unerase utility, I found that only the last folders and files I moved showed up, those files under the big folder I moved at the first didn't show up anymore. Can anybody help me to find a solution to save my data?

        Thanks a lot sweet patato. I used easyrecovery, it recovered almost 90% files, but I lost all the file names and folder structure. Are there any ways to recover folder structure and file names.

    • try finaldata and easyrecovery, which are better than Norton System Works. If your lost data is on system drive C, you'd better have it attached to another bootable xp drive. -sweetpotato(番薯糖水); 2004-2-23 {201} (#1617756@0)
      According to what you said, the data must be recoverable. At least some professional service, like Ontrack, can recover your data without a glitch even if the tools I mentioned above fail.
