My experience and idea on CCNA:

1. Do not need to buy any books. You can get enough text book from Internet by searching Chinese web pages from google, and there are both Chinese version and English version book available.

2. Simulator is a must if you have no real environment. You can also get it from internet. I am using Boson NetSim. Boson NetSim can be download from Boson website and it was encrypted for the configuration function, you can also get the way about jie3 mi4 by searching Chinese web pages.

3. There is a lot of cisco study forum which can give you the info about test and how to learn.

4. After getting the right and enough materials, two weeks is enough for CCNA testing if you pay full-time on study.

            your idea mislead people, someone wants to work on IT should start somewhere, what i mean is he should start with ccna, ccnp cannot find a job? yes, it may be true, but if he has not even ccna, he's hopeless.

            certification always helps, better you have at least one than none.

            ccna has a good reputation and it is not easy to pass it, version 3 is much more difficult than the previous one.

            try to encourage and not discourage, please!

            certifications do help! better you have one than none.

            ccna has good reputation, its version 3 is not easy one and difficult to pass than previous one.

              But it is better than haing nothing at all. Just like MCSE. Too many people have MCSE certificate now so MCSE is no longer as valuable as before. The same thing happened to CCNA in the past few years.
