never ever had this kind of weather. Hope your gas guzzler do well in -40. As said before by someone else, you don't want it, you don't buy it. But don't trash products that have been on market for more than a decade with millions of customers and still growing at a high speed grabbing more and more market shares. I took a 40% range hit running short errands during the coldest days this year. Something like -10 feeling like -20 during the day. That is about the coldest and i was fine with that.

一统江湖？通用宣布跟进福特采用特斯拉充电规格

　　根据今天宣布的一项协议，通用汽车将与福特一样采用特斯拉的北美充电规格，让通用的电动车车主可以使用特斯拉超级充电站（Tesla Superchargers）网络。
　　路透社报导，通用汽车（GM）执行长巴拉（Mary Barra）和特斯拉（Tesla）执行长马斯克（Elon Musk）在推特音讯空间（Twitter Spaces）的活动中共同宣布这项协议。福特（Ford）先前已先做出类似的决定，采用特斯拉的充电标准，这意味着北美三大电动车商如今在充电硬件方面已经统一规格。
　　投资人肯定这项协议，及为北美市场制订统一充电硬件标准的前景。通用汽车股价盘后大涨超过4%，特斯拉的股价也上涨4%。
　　彼此竞争的美国3大电动车制造商间的合作，在商业上和对公共政策影响上都具有重大意义。
　　拜登(专题)政府要求各公司必需采用“组合充电系统”（Combined Charging System, CCS）标准，才有资格获得数十亿美元的联邦补贴，好在全国最繁忙、共计约1万2070公里的道路上架设新的充电站。
　　福特宣布与特斯拉合作后，运输部长布塔朱吉（Pete Buttigieg）5月告诉财经媒体CNBC，充电系统的规格终将统一，但车主可以透过转接器使用这些充电站。
　　特斯拉、通用和福特的电动车数量相加，占目前美国电动车市场的70%。电动车产业高层认为，EV充电连接器不同，是无法让更多消费者选用电动车的障碍之一。
　　马斯克在推特音讯空间与巴拉对话时说：“我认为这对电动车要往前迈进来说，会是件很棒的事。”
　　巴拉说：“我觉得一切都变好了些。”
　　巴拉今天接受CNBC采访时表示，通用汽车可借由这次的协议省下4亿美元。
