Thank you so much for your advice. I thought it was equivalent to extract and copy the files to CD.
Following guestagain's advice, I now run setup from the extracted files on hard drive. It moves one step forward -- file transfer has started. However, I got a bunch of such error messages:
"Erro 1308. Source file not found: C:\MSDN extracted\CD1\Program Files\MSDN\2003APR\1033\xxx.hxs. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
Aparantly, a bunch of .hxs files were missing from that directory, but their corresponding .hxi files seem to be there. Do you think this problem is related to the way the files are extraced? Or any other clues? Thanks a lot.
