I would think, the relationship with her, at least , is one of most important relationships of yours. Why do you do something stupid to hurt her, break the trust of hers? From your point of view, the affair is not a big deal. But, even you really still love your wife while you are having the affair (I doubt it), how can she not feel the inscurity the affair brings to the marriage? In the best case for you, she could try to always measure up because she feels insecure -- try to beat all the possible competitors, which definitely is a task that would fail anybody. Do you want this? Or, normally, she does not trust you any more, you either end up with a sham marriage or a divorvice.
