Draft wo't work with ING since you don't have your account # on it and you can't transfer you money out. If you are smart enough to get some free cheques when you open the account @ CIBC, there is no problem, But I don't think you are in such case. For me, I have an USD &CAD investment account @BMO and they gave some free USD cheques when I just started business with them. So what I did was I used a draft to transfer from CIBC to BMO, then with the free USD cheque, transfered to ING. When I need, I can only transfer the money back to BMO. It has nothing to do with CIBC anymore. If you really don't want to pay the 20-30, open a new USD account @ any bank or CIBC branch whoever will provide some free cheques. Then you know what to do.
Every bank is selfish. @BMO, they held my money for whole month although I told them from very beginning I need the money right away and it's from a Canadian bank, not from abroad. Really PO by them. Hope my story helps!
Plus, I didn't pay for the draft. It's up to the teller. I even asked her how much, she just said forget it. :D更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
