Sun Sparc boot problem - Please help

I recently got a clean Ultra 1 machine(No Solaris pre-installed) and was excited in intalling Solaris 9 on it. However, I can't even boot the box. following is the message:

CPU: 167MHZ
Memory: 256MB
Openboot: 3.11
Boot Device: disk File and args:
Boot load failed.
the file just load does not appear to be executable.
OK
---------
I tried to boot it from CDROM:

--------
OK boot cdrom
Boot Device: /S-Bus/espdma@e 8400000/esp@e 8800000/Sd@6, 0:f File and args:
Short disk read
the file just load does not appear to be executable.
OK
----------------
I also tried boot with single user mode:


--------
OK boot cdrom -s
Boot Device: /S-Bus/espdma@e 8400000/esp@e 8800000/Sd@6, 0:f File and args: -s
Short disk read
the file just load does not appear to be executable.
OK

Sun's Solaris 9 release note specifies that I may have to update boot PROM.

Would you please tell me how to boot the machine so setup Solaris 9 on it?
